Targeting small and medium businesses, the Pune based
Max Secure Software on Tuesday rolled out Enterprise Edition
of its anti-virus range in Gujarat.
"This edition of our anti-virus is based on client
server architecture model to detect and delete viruses
and spyware across a network while putting control in
hands of IT administrator," CEO Max Secure, Sanjay
Pradhan told reporters.
"The edition operates on a patented smart scan technology
by the company to speed detection of 7.5 million virus
threats on network clients PC's, involving less memory,"
he said.
Eyeing a five per cent share in an estimated Rs 500 anti-virus
market in India largely dominated by Symantec and MacAfee,
the company has proposed to expand the network of its
channel partners across the country over next one year.
"After stabilising our anti-virus product range in
markets like US and Western Europe, we are now looking
to expand footprints in India, Pradhan said.
"We are looking to expand the network of our channel
partners in the country from the existing 500 in three
states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh,"
he said.
Our product range available in six languages shall be
rolled out in states like Karnataka, Chattisgarh, Bangalore,
Kolkata, New Delhi and Chennai in next few months, Pradhan
said.
As per industry estimates the market of anti-virus in
India is expected to grow at the rate of over 35 per cent
annually.
