If you have any of the firewall
installed which we have listed down here, do the
same as we are describing here. This way you can Register Spyware Detector and also do Live Update.

Norton Personal Firewall (Norton Internet
Security) |

Simply right click on the icon
in the system tray as shown in the figure
and click on Disable Norton Internet
Security option.

Click Start, Control Panel, double-click
Network Connections, right-click the desired
connection, Properties>Advanced tab,
under Internet Connection Firewall, uncheck
the option "Protect my Computer
and Network by limiting or preventing access
to this computer from the internet".
This should help you to Registration and
Live Update of Spyware Detector.
Please Note: This is
not a limitation on the part of Spyware
Detector but Windows Firewall has blocked it, which you need to permit.

McAfee Alert: Application
(MaxSDUI.exe) wants to access the Internet. Click on "Grant Access".
If you didn't get any prompt from McAfee
then,
Simply Right click on McAfee
System tray Icon -> Personal
Firewall. Click on Internet
Applications |
Check for Spyware
Detector. Right click on MaxSDUI.exe and click on "Allow Full Access"
Now try to register the Product.
After registration click on Live Update.
McAfee Alert: Application

then,
Right click on McAfee System
tray Icon -> Personal Firewall. Click on Internet Applications. Check for Spyware Detector. Right click on LiveUpdate.exe and click on "Allow Full Access" |

When you install the Product
and try to register it, Outpost Firewall
will give you the below message box just
check the "Allow all the activities
for this application" and
click on OK. |

Just right click on the
system tray icon of the Outpost firewall
on your computer and click on the Exit

from Trend Micro then also you can configure
Trend Micro Internet Security to allow Spyware
Detector. Please follow below steps.
1) Open Trend Micro Internet
Security.
2) Click on Virus and Spyware Control tab.
3) Go to Exception List.
4) Under Trusted Program Section please add following exe's of Spyware
Detector.
MaxScanner.exe
LiveUpdate.exe
MaxSDTray.exe
MaxSDUI.exe
MaxWatchDogService.exe
5) Click on OK button. |

ESET Smart Security |
You can configure ESET Smart Security to allow download of Spyware Detector application
exe. Please follow below steps.
1) Open ESET Smart Security.
2) Click on the Setup button.
3) Click on Enter entire advance
setup tree.
4) Go to the Antivirus and Antispyware
> Web access protection > HTTP, HTTPS > Address
management.
5) You will see the drop down list from
that select the List of Addresses
excluded from filtering option.
6) Click on the Add button,
small window opens.
7) On that window write http://www.maxpcsecure.com and click on the OK button.
Again click on Add button
and write http://www.maxpcsecure.com/maxspywaredetector.exe;
click on OK button.
8) Then finally click on OK button present at the end on the Setup window.
Now you will be able to download Spyware
Detector from our site.

What to do if Blue Coat K9 Web Protection blocks Max Secure Registration Process? |
1) Open Registration window
2) Fill all details First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Address, Phone No. & click Next
3) In the text box Registration No enter the registration number & click on Activate Now
4) While click on Activate Now Blue Coat K9 Web Protection blocks Max Secure Registration Process & open window like below
5) Open your Blue Coat K9 Web Protection by Start à All Programs à Blue Coat K9 Web Protection
6) It will open http://127.0.0.1:2372/ page
7) Fallow Setup steps on page
8) It will ask for password
9) Enter password and click on OK
10) It will display Web Categories to Block
11) Go to Custom > Other Categories > Unblock All
12) And Custom > Commonly Blocked Categories > Unblock All
13) After Unblock All, click on Save
14) After that you will get this window like below
