Generally after installing Spyware
Detector, it automatically opens the application.
If you try to open it later, click Start--->
Programs---> SpywareDetector---> SpywareDetector.
First of all it will open the Tips for how to
use Spyware Detector. To go through the tips,
click on 'Next Tip' button. If you are finished
or don't want to go through tips, click on Close
button. After this, it will prompt you to perform
scanning using three options:

1) Quick Scan
2) Full Scan
3) Custom Scan
Quick
Scan option scans the hard drive where
the operating system is installed. Suppose you
have the operating system installed on the C drive
and you have selected the Quick scan then the
application will scan only C drive for spyware.
Full
Scan will scan your complete PC including
the operating system, program files as well as
your files and documents. If your PC has more
than one hard drive on it, you can select which
hard drive you would like to scan in the Full
Scan option. This is done by checking the appropriate
checkbox before the hard drive letter (e.g., C:)
in the Full Scan window.
Malicious File Scan: We are looking
for PE file structural malformation where various
characteristics show a major difference between
a good (legitimate file) and bad file (spyware
file). Statistical analysis has been used to minimize
the false positives and detect Spyware files based
on only File integrity.
Custom
Scan will scan only the selected locations
by the user.
Click on the scan option you want
to perform and scanning will start. A list of
all the spyware that are detected will be shown
in the interface once the scanning is over.
If at anytime during scanning if
you want to stop the scan click on the Stop
button present on the left hand top side of the
product interface. This will stop the scanning.
